Indication:

Vometa is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of nausea and vomiting from various causes. It is also used to manage dyspeptic symptoms associated with delayed gastric emptying, gastroesophageal reflux, and esophagitis, such as epigastric fullness, bloating, and burping.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults and Adolescents (12 years and older, weighing 35 kg or more):

  • Nausea and Vomiting: 10–20 mg (2–4 mL), 3–4 times daily, with intervals of 4–8 hours.

  • Dyspeptic Symptoms: 10 mg (2 mL), 3 times daily before meals and, if necessary, before retiring at night.

• Children:

  • Nausea and Vomiting: 0.25–0.5 mg/kg body weight (0.05–0.1 mL/kg), 3–4 times daily, with intervals of 4–8 hours.

  • Dyspeptic Symptoms: 0.25 mg/kg body weight (0.05 mL/kg), 3 times daily before meals and, if necessary, before retiring at night.

Administration:

• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Use the provided dropper to measure the prescribed dose accurately.
• Administer the drops directly into the mouth or mix with a small amount of water if preferred.
• Best taken 15–30 minutes before meals.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to domperidone or any of the excipients.
• Not recommended for use in patients with moderate or severe hepatic impairment.
• Use with caution in patients with existing prolongation of cardiac conduction intervals, particularly QTc, and in patients with significant electrolyte disturbances or underlying cardiac diseases such as congestive heart failure.
• Domperidone should be used at the lowest effective dose in adults and children.
• Consult your healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Storage:

• Store below 30°C.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
