Indication: Amoclav is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including:

• Upper respiratory tract infections (e.g., tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media)

• Lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Genitourinary tract and abdominal infections (e.g., cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, pelvic infections)

• Skin and soft tissue infections (e.g., cellulitis, wound infections) 

Dosage and Administration:

For pediatric patients aged 3 months and older, the recommended dosage based on the amoxicillin component is 90 mg/kg/day, divided every 12 hours. This high-dose regimen is particularly used for treating acute otitis media and other severe infections. The exact dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the child's weight and the severity of the infection. 

Preparation Instructions:

To reconstitute the suspension, tap the bottle until all the powder flows freely. Add approximately 2/3 of the total amount of water required (as indicated on the package insert), shake vigorously to suspend the powder, then add the remaining water and shake again until the suspension is uniform. Store the reconstituted suspension in the refrigerator and use within the time frame specified in the package insert.
